The mare is a medicine hat, classic, obviously not just Sabino, obviously also has Splash but I would test for Frame (of course) especially since she has thrown a so pattern inhibited foal, both times!!!
Foal is Splash, minimal and probably Sabino, although it does not have to be.

Black ear tips on the mare. Actually I might even wonder if she's bay dun or dunskin.

Foal is bay with frame and possibly splash. I'm leaning to gray, but I'm on the fence.

Well I don't know if it's coming from the mane or forelock, but I just saw there is alot of black up there.

Most bay foals I see don't have any black on their legs at all, so the bit of black at the bottom threw me. I don't know if it's indication he'll gray or not though.

From what I can see of the dam's base color (plus the black in the forelock and ear tips), I would guess she was bay dun or light bay. I don't really see cream. But then, everyone's monitor is different.

Her right flank spot looks a pretty light gold color to me. If I hadn't seen the forelock and ears I'd have even said palomino.

She doesn't look the right shade for Buckskin- I had originally thought she was Chestnut but noticed what looks like darker ear tips + some very dark looking hair in her forelock..though it might be all the white throwing me off.

Another vote for not Grey, +Splash and even Frame.

foal looks bay to me, too dark around eyes for bucky I think.
mare looks like a dilute of some description. leaning towards buckskin.

I mentioned in passing that someone thought she might be dunskin, and he said that it doesn't exist. Which I just attribute to the fact that what does and doesn't exist seems to change a lot as time goes on. Take white, for example. I mean, when I was young I was taught that there was no white horse, that there was grey and albino. Then I learned there was no albino, then i learned something else strange, etc etc, and now there's something going on with a White gene, and I still don't understand. So yeah....

What a lot of people have comprehending is the fact that there can be more than one modifier affecting the base coat colour--i.e., agouti to make bay, dun to make bay dun, and creme to make buckskin--and the colour being 'distilled' into a simple word like dunskin.

I think we should have "dunamino" for dun + palomino and "dunalino" for dun + perlino, personally.

how bout dunerlino. 8-) "dunalino" wouldn't be right, because of the a!
mom looks like a regular bay... though I would buy it if she turned out to be chesnut.

What color is the first foal from the same pair now? Just curious as it is probably just be the age, but I see a little dun in that bay.

That foal is definitely dun and maybe cream. If sire isn't dun, then dam is, in which case she may not be a buckskin at all.

I dunno about his parents, but I did look at the mare to see if she had any dorsal, and her back is all white.
