GAHA Photos

When you are in a shady arena, but aiming toward the sun, how do I make it work? I'm thinking I just need a better camera... [img]http://i694.photobucket.com/albums/vv309/Hijenks/GAHA%20June%202009/100…]

Well my theory on this before was that they were leaning forward so much stretching that they were kind of digging in....ya know? I could be wrong, this one's not leaning forward so much, but it just peaked my curiosity....sending now

Ah, Jenks sent me the pic and I don't think it was what I was imagining at all. Here is my reply to her from just a few minutes ago:

Hi, thanks for PMing me the photo. I still haven't got over to check my email. It is such a PITA that I only do it every couple days, then I've got 60+ emails to wade through! Ugh.

I don't think that horse has ESPA. I think it looks like a horse anticipating his handler and waiting to 'jump' for a cue. See how he's sort of crouched down a bit in back?...like a coiled spring just waiting to be released. That is either how he stands, or he is still in the process of 'setting up' into the stretched out park and hasn't set his feet because he knows he still needs to move.

I thought you were talking about one standing in a stall like that. I think this one is a good example of "on his toes" with energy and anticipation. ;)

I found another one! And his back legs look good (whoa)! I'm wondering how it affects they way their back legs look?

I would think it *must* because there is a small multitude of faults that wouldn't be visible when parked out; camped out, under, sickle, post, pastern angles...

I found another one! OK.....I think it's just a matter of what happens during posing??? sometimes???

How are you supposed to judge them standing like that? Do it before they go up on their toes? :D
