Freckles?

That is very odd. I'd like to see a photo of him from several years ago. I'm wondering if it's vitiligo.

Let me do a little digging, I do know that in his winter coat you cant see any freckles.

Bida was never one I liked to photograph so its hard finding any descent pictures. I do remember years ago telling my mom he had a cool freckled nose though.

That's just because the hair grows long enough to cover them. Now i can see where his marking lines are too. Definitely looks like vitiligo to me. How strange.

I don't remember :shock: I think its been years since I've read anything about vitiligo.

Is it harmful or anything? I know he has had the freckles most if not all of his life.

If you are having this happen in multiple horses, you should really check your feed. Vitiligo can be nutritional.

ill bring it up with my mom, i know the first one has always been straight pasture fed and this guy has been grain and hay fed, but this had to develop really rescently as i just noticed it this week
