I found this image while doing research and thought it was fascinating.  It is from this article Molecular genetics of human pigmentation diversity

While this is an interesting photo I doubt the difference would be so clear had they not used that much light at the bottom of the photo. You can clearly see that the background at the top of the photo has a minimum of light but the bottom shows a maximum - even too much from the point of a photographer.
