Learning Dressage

So, after the "learning to jump" thread 2 years ago, I thought it was a good time to update on A.O. Breeze. His owner has relocated from Colorado to Texas, and has formally started up her own breeding operation. With the move, Breeze left behind the province of his trainer, Wilson Dennehy, and his jump rider, Adrian.

He has been consistently shown since then, but in halter, mostly with his halter trainer, Wendye Gardiner, and with his owner's husband, an amateur. His under saddle career is now being restarted in dressage, with an aim toward the dressage, and sport horse show hack divisions on his breed circuit.

He debuted in March at a local dressage show, and then at a class A sport horse breed show, where he qualified for regionals in training level. He was also the top scoring stallion for sporthorse in-hand.

With a first time dressage rider, he scored a 64% at this local dressage show:

On a side note, this yearling filly, who was sired by Breeze for an outside client, made her show ring debut in May. She won all of her classes in both halter and sporthorse and took home Reserve Champion filly. She was offered for sale and has been sold.
