This is my mare Shadowplay Sahara Moon - bred by Rabbitzfizz.
She is out of a Red Dun mare which is why I am asking.
Slaney is a pale Palomino even in her summer coat and in winter with all the hair tends to look more white.
But once she starts to shed she has a very distinctive Dorsal stripe but I dont know if its a false dorsal or if she is in fact a Dunalino.
She has darker legs in fact they tend to have a sort of sooty look about them - like she was very dirty and a paler body and then the dorsal.
This is the best pic I have of her and you can probably make out the dorsal. My computer crashed and I lost all my photos and I am trying to piece togther some pics from different people. I will take a better picture later on c. May when she starts to shed out naturally and get one of the dorsal on her back
Re: Dunalino??
Well I was told and also by Rabbitsfizz that her dam was a red dun. Slaney comes from a line of spotty's and duns.
I was told her sire was a Palomino base near leopard so thats where the cream comes from. Of course in that pic Slaney's dam is in her winter woolies and they always look different in their winter attire :) .
Re: Dunalino??
Rabbit has no Cream, he is a Red Dun.
Twit, Slaney's sire was a Palomino base near Leopard
this is the only pic I have on photobucket, so sorry about that!!! Can't see the spots but they are there, I promise!!
Slaney is a Dunalino, Amber in her summer coat is the same colour as Rabbit.
Re: Dunalino??
She does look dunalino as that is a distinct dorsal.
