What color would you consider my 1 week old AmStaf puppy?

What color is my 1 week old puppy?...I've been told he will be a seal from some, and a brindle by others....I wish I knew. I was told that it is genetically impossible for a blue and white and a red and white to produce a brindle in American Staffordshire Terriers..

I could be possible for a blue to produce a brindle.  Blue is dilute dominant black and dominant black is dominant over brindle so it is possible.

However, I don't think this pup is brindle.  The hairs to me look like they are tipped with a lighter color rather than in stripes like we see in brindle but I honestly can't say for sure without actually looking at the pup.  It can be difficult to tell from a photo.   My gut feeling on this is that he is a very dark sable.  Seal at this point is used to describe any dog that is not chocolate but not black either rather something in between.  It is not known at this time what causes seal however, seal pups are born black or nearly black without color banding on the hairs.

Here is another thread that has some pics of brindle pups so you can get an idea of what they look like.

and a thread about seal.

I'd love to see photos of this pup as he grows.  I hope you will keep us posted?
