Due to decreasing use over the years, I have decided to disable the forum functionality of the site.

Forums will still be available to view but new posts are no longer allowed.

I've just realised something: AKA moderator instructions

I have absolutely NO idea how to use any of my mod powers, or even where the help section would be... Diane

This forum doesn't have as many moderator functions as the old one did. You basically can edit and delete forum items by using the edit and delete buttons that are on each topic and reply. To remove a spammer you just follow the instructions here.

You can also use the edit tab on a users page if something has been reported about their profile. You can edit anything on a users profile page.

To sticky something you have to edit the thread. To do this click the edit button that is in the tabs along the top of the thread. After your in the edit menu at the very bottom of the page there is a link that says "Publishing Options". Click on it and it will open up. You can then select "sticky at the top of lists". This will sticky a thread. You can also use the publishing options to unpublish stuff that you don't want people to see but aren't ready to delete yet. They only thing with unpublish is they will still show up for admins just not regular users.

Admins also have the option of using full html in their posts. I have this disabled for regular users but it could come in handy for an admin if you know a bit of html. To use full html click on the "input format" link and select "full HTML". It will allow you to do all kinds of neat things with html.

There is no options as of yet to move posts. I may try to implement it later but atm it's not real high on my todo list.

Hope this helps a bit.

Oh one last thing. You all are admins not just moderators so when I say admin I mean all of you.

I finally did a search and figured out how to move posts. If you hit the edit button on the first post a drop down menu of forums will appear. You select the one you want to move the post to and wallah! I've seen this drop down many times when I edited a post just never thought to see if I could move posts with it. ymwhisle
