*Head-Desk* Prof is being......

Ok, today in lab, Dr. Wimbush went over color genetics. She asked us what percentage it would be to get a buckskin out of a Bay x Palomino. She said one cream on black or bay results in a buckskin. I about had a heart-attack right there, cream on black is smokey black, cream on bay is buckskin. This really makes me want to deck her, I know if I correct her, she'll make me look like an idiot in front of the whole class. I left after she said cream on black results in a buckskin....anyone willing to come to ATI and properly educate us on color genetics??

I personally would ask what would make her think a different way. What type of proof he would want for him to accept something different than what he is teaching. Ask him infront of the class so that everyone hears him, and then the next class show him the proof he asked for.

RMT - we've had so much fun with this professor (well commiserating with Indian)...she doesn't even think frame and LWO are the same thing, so how do you think you can educate her on anything else?

From the way it sounds, the teacher puts down, and makes his students feel like crap for being smarter than he is, or knowing something that he doesnt, or even trying to come up with a new idea. Basically trying to oppress any view that isn't shared with his by making his students feel bad.

The reason I would do what I suggested is to FORCE him to believe something. Especially since he would say he needs X Y and Z to believe something in front of an entire class and then X Y Z is presented to him. He is either forced to accept that she is correct or look like a complete ass in front of his whole class.

You really do need to record this, and then take it to the head of faculty with the corrections.
As I have said before, yes, I could correct her, no problem, and my educational qualifications probably outweigh hers by quite a way, BUT since her mind is closed, I doubt that God Almighty entering the room and correcting her will make her back down.
She has had it easy for so long now it is unlikely she is going to put herself out learning anything new.
Unfortunately this is the mark of a bad Teacher, worldwide.

You might try asking it as an innocent question at the next session...
"Ah, Prof...could you explain to me again how Black X Cream can make a Buckskin as I seem not to have understood that point??" ;)
