Cool mule for CM...

So to know if it was Classic or Sable would testing be the only way to know?
Or am I wrong, is it an Amber?

lipigirl Fri, 04/10/2009 - 08:16

I would have said Classic on this one - even with the darker tail and legs which I know points to Amber..it sometimes does that and is very bleached by the sun on Classic Champagnes...my friend's Classic Cream Silver Champagne is a different colour under his mane which is not sunbleached !! ;)

I'm in LOVE :love -- I have always dreamed of having a riding mule (a big Missouri would be extra nice as I am NOT a small person  ) ;)

Yes champagne. Amber IMO. I'll be the odd man out on this one, but I really believe tobiano. The mule is also gaited. I think he's very cool.

Ooo what an interesting mule! Champagne and tobiano as well as spotting I would say. Also the reason for spotting is when donkeys have spotting the leg white is almost always broken up and jagged and the tobiano in mules would give it the stocking/socks to begin with, but keep in mind that other white patterns with the exception of frame havn't really been tested in mules to see exactly what they look like when inherited.
Also I'm no expert!

I do not think it has appy...was that what you were suggesting...it gets confusing when the correct term for "pinto" is "spotted" and in Europe we use that to describe what America calls "Appy"!!!
The reason I think no Appy is that a) I have not seen it affect leg white, and b) I would have expected somesort of expression on the body.
I am not sure that Appy affecting leg white.....
So why else would the legs be spotted just like their butt?

critterkeeper Sat, 04/11/2009 - 15:58

Heather - that is MY size of a mule :love , but definitely NOT my price... :BH And another question -- why is it 8 yrs old and only "greenbroke"? one has to wonder! :laugh1

I am on the fence about Champagne, I can take it or leave it and I have seen it used too often to keep second, even third grade animals entire BUT that is a nice mule, with or without the colour!!
