Buckskin...chnages colors...

I just LOVE this stud!!! I hope to own one of his babies!! Just thought it was neat how his color changes. Very striking & interesting!! Very metallic looking in a few of those pics! http://www.f3paintandquarterhorses.com/F3Stallions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow! lotsa sooty!
I get a bigger kick out of his foals though, he has some pretty light ones and the bay colt is probably the least bay looking bay I've seen, he's bright red :lol:

No, no such thing as a "Smoky Black" Buckskin, I do wish people would take the time to get these things right, I really do.
I'm afraid nowadays, if someone is this ignorant I tend to just skim over whatever they are advertising!!
I *think* what they are trying to say is actually "smokey brown".
Maybe she's meaning "sooty??"

I think they mean brown-based buckskin (in Morgans we just say brown buckskin). It could be a sooty buckskin, but I think most buckskins (and so called "dark bays" or "sooty bays") are testing to be brown. And of course it could be BOTH sooty and brown :-)
