...are we sure that isn't just a conspiracy theory? Mind-blowing to think if that could happen, though. Sort of makes me think of the same effect in The Happening.

You know, even in that article and if it is really out there I dont see anything that makes in "mind control" I mean we have our brains process what we see and hear all the time and make decisions about it. I dont know about you but If I had something sent into my head that came from "nowhere" I would dismiss it as a brain hiccup and not to be listened too. but I supose there are a lot of people already trained to be passive about stuff and don't have their own logic. :?

I think that's just a bunch of hoopla...a great deal of research has been done in the area of subliminal messages (projecting thoughts or wants onto people via images imbedded in other media) and it was very unsuccessful. I have heard nothing of any successful usage of it, especially on Iraqi soldiers (where is their reference for that, anyway?). Plus the whole "TV is going to cause the subjugation of the American people" sounds like a load of hooey to me, and a load of hooey that's been around for a LONG time. ;)

I may be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure there is direct US law preventing subliminal messaging (they used to try and influence people to go buy snacks at the movies via subliminal messaging...egads I'm showing my age!!!)

OK guys.....I hope it is all a complete load of *****....... but apparently the patent does exist for it so ...may have to do some more research....but it sounded so horrid !! :sad

Oh, the idea and technology for subliminal messaging is definitely real. It's the idea that the military/gov't would do something like this that falls into the same categories as black helicopters, men wearing black suits and trench coats, and the US military sending missiles into the World Trade Centre...we really have a few too many checks and balances for the military or gov't to get away with it.
