dirty yellow horse

Monsterpony just left and hopefully she won't mind if I post some of the photos she took while she was here. I actually let her photograph dirty, hairy horses! We've been having pouring rain since Saturday so when I say dirty, I mean really dirty, too. She took about 500 photos so it will take me a while to look through them all, but of course I gravitated right to the ones of Diana. Here, Diana trots: [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/jmpnghorse/Prada/Dianatrot031709…] [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/jmpnghorse/Prada/dianatrot031709…] [img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/jmpnghorse/Prada/dianatrot031709…] Now I have to go feed. Expect more photos later, unless Monsterpony hollers at me for editing her photos. ;) (MP all I did was crop and sharpen, hope that's ok...)

What a pretty mover! :)

I'd love to see her once she sheds out that buffalo coat in the spring ... ;)

And yeah - I agree - she looks like she is going to be that gorgeous dark dappled palomino colour!

Hey Donna, great to see you! You weren't supposed to sneak in and see dirty, hairy photos of my filly though. :laugh1 Oh, and this is (was) Prada, by the way. She got a name change.
She's short? How short? How tall is Ros?
Yeah, she's a shorty but still string tests to 16.0-16.1 so... I guess she'll grow?

Daylene Alford Fri, 03/20/2009 - 17:06

just curious Sara how do you do the string test? I did the string test on Streak as a yearling. I taped from middle of the knee to the coronet band straight did not follow the bend of the leg and it said 15.1 but I don't' think he's going to be that tall although he may surprise me. He will be 5 in June and he's probably right at 15 now. I'm just kinda wondering how accurate a string test is.
