Interesting Face Markings.

Saw this horse at our Arabian Nationals yesterday, lol, just had to get some photos. Unfortunately I was sitting in a stand on the other side of the arena, so didn't get the shots I really wanted. If you look at the head front on, the white actually trails in a thin line from the left top of the blaze to the ear, & the ear is white.

Awesome! He's very pretty. I noticed the Splash trailing up to his ear- would love to know what his other side looks like.
Great photos BTW.

He could be splash, but I don't think so personally. His sire (Colorite Elvis) does have a blue eye and doesn't look like splash to me. He very well could be though.

I agree Diane. :laugh1

Definitely tobiano and sabino. I 100% feel this horse and his sire are splash. They show *classic* signs of it IMO.

LOL at Dianne.

Fledge, his name is Diamond T Cheveyo.

Given that Splash can be as minimal as a blue eye, I reckon it could be splash just as easily as it could be anything else.
As I said, I found a couple of horses in the sire's pedigree that had blue eyes & were OLWS negative.
If you look here, at the foal gallery for the sire, & scroll down, you will see this horse as a baby, & you can see the white line
connecting the blaze & white ear.

Wouldn't a test for splash be helpful :rofl

Yes it would. I can't wait!!!

To me, anytime white crosses ONTO an ear, I think splash. No other gene can/will do that IMO.

blue eye
white on the ear
yin yang face
missing chest and single flank shield
completely white tail
I am 100% certain this is splash. The other patterns just dont do those things, and especially not ALL on one horse.

LOL Fledge, sure you aren't drinking champagne!!!!! :toast
That's it, blame the keyboard.

That foal is gorgeous. I want one.

:laugh1 I thought for a momment you'd learned a new accent! :rofl

A few weeks ago someone had a problem on a forum where their computer was typing backwards, that was hilarious!

My computer "types backwards" when I go on facebook and upload pictures....If I shut the whole thing down and restart it, it types fine.

Scared the crap outta me the first time it did it though!!!

Did you get set to another language system? I have my keyboard set to the Irish settings because I use fadas often and I got used to typing a lot while I was there. People always get really annoyed when they are trying to type on my keyboard.

I have seen several Minis from the same farm that had similar face markings as that. They are from the same bloodline as my White mare with the Black head and tail. I'm hoping she will produce something similar someday.
