Color guess on this guy?

Well he's roan obviously...he's registered as a buckskin out of a palomino and his head looks to have a dun type face mask so what do you guys think? Here's his website http://www.griffithquarterhorses.com/stallion.html

I agree with buckskin. The shading is right, and the face looks more like a buckskin mask than a dun mask to my eyes.

I just noticed this on his site:

"An AQHA registered buckskin, Joe also displays a unique strong blue roan color and gene. His trainers describe him as easy and always willing to please and a horse any level can rope off of. He is also 97% foundation bred. Joe displays the characteristics of the Hancock horses that I grew up with and those traits which are so valuable today. Joe's colt crops consist of roans, gruellos, buckskins, and palominos."

Very cool. I would guess very sooty buckskin as well. I wouldn't have assumed cream 'till I saw the foal. He has a very beautiful front end.

Last pic on his website shows a hint of a dorsal, but that could easily be countershading as well... I'm confused :?

Roan very often causes a false dorsal. I've been in contact with the owners of this stallion and haven't seen a single dun foal (and she's sent me lots of pics). I've also not seen a single E_ aa foal, but that's not necessarily telling.

Maigray: He is pretty nice, and you should see his foals. I don't know why they don't have photos of them on his website. They are goooooooooorgeous. Very level (even for foals), balanced, correct, big hipped, nice babies.
