I SOOOOOO wanted a chance at a black base. I can't STAND bay bases. I guess I'll never get my grulla out of her. I'll just have to buy that one. *sigh*

Guess she's destined only to go to red bases. :rofl

That's the one benefit I keep trying to tell myself. There are enough bay base lovers out there whenever the stally doesn't pass his e, it may not have a home with me, but it will with someone. :rofl Not that that chance will be taken more than once. There is only one stallion on the planet that is worth having a bay from and he is EE AA anyway so I was already committed to a bay by him (and that foal WILL be kept). Ok there is one more, but the chances I'll ever afford him are slim and I know he's Ee so I'll at least have a 50-50 shot at non-bay. :laugh1

Now how can you tease us like that without telling us WHO those stallions are??? [-x

Glad to see your results finally came through. Just they had been what you wanted.

Is there a code for all those letters?
GBE:
JEB:
PSSM:

Yup, the one who I would have bred to even if she were aa is Khartoon Khlassic. The other I might have bred to regardless of his or her agouti status (who I will probably never be able to afford) is Invisible Ink. He's by my all time favorite horse and I LOOOOOOOOOVE him despite his color. Actually if the baby looked just like him, just with a little more white hopefully, I'd STILL love it.

Bet it is nice to have your results back!! Glad she tested Negative for GBED, HyPP, JEB, and HERDA!!!

So even though the foal could be bay will you still keep it for your hunter jumper. Is that what I remember you saying you wanted the foal for?

Agouti is the one thing I really want to know about our one sorrel mare, Gracie had a bay out of a black stallion so I know she is at least Aa. Our other sorrel mare, Honey, has had two black foals out of black stallions so I suspect she is aa but will test her too. :)

Do you think they will start testing faster? Or if I send in tests will I be waiting 3+ months? I am not planning on breeding anybody this year so I am not in any real hurry. Other then for curiosity sake!! 8-)

They'll do a batch whenever they have "enough" submitted. Who knows how long that will take each time. If you submitted now, be prepared to wait a long time since they just finished this batch.

Well a foal by either of those stallions would not leave my side except for some incredible $$$. The Invisible Ink foal would be a tie to the love of my life. I wouldn't care if it was fugly, it would be adored. The KK foal would be a bit more likely to be sold, but I would know going into it I was getting a bay anyway, so that wouldn't be the reason. I'd really like to show an AHA but if I did will enough with it for someone to make an offer, I'd likely take it unless I were really attached.

Oh sorry! $3500 this year. I don't know whether to expect it to go up or down. As you know, racing Thoroughbred's fees are roller coasters.

-dies- that is something kind of crazy... no wonder there is so much scrupulous activity, considering all the money involved.
