Did you miss me?

Things were rather hectic this past week, and I've not been able to get to my normal forums with any sort of regularity. Oh well, such is life! :BH Time to :toast and carry on with carrying on, right? LOL On the horse front, some may remember that I had forgotten about a young mare we had contracted to get...well, we're getting a mare within the next couple of weeks, but it's not her  And no, I hadn't forgotten about this one, just didn't think we'd be seeing her until spring time, as she has been being utilised as someone's riding horse. So now we definitely need to find someone who's interested in leasing a maiden standy mare. Diane

:? Have you been drinking, or have I? or in local slang: "do what now?"
So you're getting two horses?

Yes, we are getting two mares. One, an older mare, was expected, and we were thinking next spring, at the earliest. The other, a young maiden, I actually forgot about.   And for the life of me, I couldn't remember which filly she was (as I first saw her and several sisters, when they were yearlings). I have narrowed it down to one of two of those fillies, and I think I've dug up the mental pictures of her. I'm not quite sure when we're picking her up...
 Do what now? You forgot? Snortin' out loud.
How many horses do you have?
I think I heard the door slam, as she said "Be right back" and went outside to count.

To count them, I have to go by who is in what paddock, and use both hands... :angel 13, with the older mare arriving in a couple of weeks, and no pick-up date yet on the young mare (since that's a bit of a travel job to go get her). It's the ones not physically here that I be forgettin'

NZ - as my d-i-l told me the other day, "When you have to start counting them on your fingers, forget a few and have to think more than a minute or two on who is whom? Then you have WAY too many...." 8-} :))

As long as you can feed them and take care of them, there isn't any such thing as "too many" :angel
