What do you think?

This is Shimmer a 2yr old Miniature Filly. I have had her tested for a few things and they go as follows. Tobiano - Negative Agouti - Negative Silver - Negative Sabino - SB1 Hetrozygous Red/Black Factor - Homozygous Black Shimmer has a huge blaz and it slides off to one side and under her bottom lip. Her hind sock is very crisp and she has white either side of her tail. She also has a belly splodge but you have to be able to do the limbo to see it. I was wondering if she could also be splash all be it minimal? Hope you like her hairy leggings  Before After

Yes, splash and sabino can be this minimal, especially on a black based animal. Plus she's a mini so anything goes!

I'd show her as a solid though, because most people do not understand that all white markings indicate a pinto pattern of some sort. (This is a widely held theory around here, but not in the horse world in general.)

I want to know what kind of aerobics you had to do to get the pic of the belly spot...

Her tail is wild. Splash can cause a white spot at the end but that isn't really what it looks like...baby flaxen that hasn't grown all the way out yet?

I had to do a major limbo move to do to even find the spot. I didnt know it was there till I was clipping and was basically underneath trying to get a piece of hair off and then I saw it so had to get a picture then :D

Her tail although its hard to see in the last pics still has has white hairs - it just needs to be washed
She also has a mixed mane too with a lot of white hairs mixed throughout.

She's so cute!!!! Yeh I'd show her as a solid too, but she's definitely got splash I reckon.
Cheers

I second (third?) the splash notion.

I have to ask though, why no test for frame? I think she's got it.

Sorry I obviously didnt mention that she was tested for frame and she tested negative - an important one to forget sorry

Well that proves the splash IMO. That face and legs looked frame to me, but in the absence of it, it must be splash.

She is Splash and I would hazard a possibility of Tobiano as Sabino would encourage, not inhibit leg white, whereas Tobiano would inhibit it.
I would definitely put her in Solid colour as there just are not people around who understand Minis, let alone pattern so the chances of a Judge understanding both are slim, and anyway she is a very poorly marked Pinto, but a very well marked Solid!!
