if you like any of those horses i can get better pictures
Re: Color Recognition in Vet Med
CMhorses- The first and third photos have patterns could work for the frame photos. Can you get photos that show all the legs and head? Thanks.
Paintlover- "Photos by Emily West (sometimes with of Such-and-such Farm or at such-and-such.com)" is what I usually use for photo credits.
Re: Color Recognition in Vet Med
I just thought of something else that vets could need as far as color knowledge. That other colors can mimic leather white but are not. IE double dilutes and max sabinos
EDIT: Lethal not leather
 I was wondering what Leather white was for a moment there!!

Re: Color Recognition in Vet Med
Yea I have more funny pictures of that palimino...like where you cant see all of his legs, or it was snowing >.< .
For credit you can put their name if you want and photos courtesy of Christy Maxon.
Be sure to let us know how this paper turns out! I really want to see how much vets know.

Not a real good picture but he looks more grullo in that picture then in most others.
Re: Color Recognition in Vet Med
I am bumping this thread back up as there are a number of new members that might be able to help me out. I actually need more colors than I originally listed because I am redoing a genetics lecture I wrote a few years ago that I lost several of the photo credits for. All photos will be credited to the photographer/farm/owner and used only for academic purposes.
Re: Color Recognition in Vet Med
I am willing to look at any colors as they may be better than the ones I already have, but colors that I don't have for the lecture are:
-palomino
-buckskin
-smokey black (that shows)
-any double dilute cream
-red dun (that shows a dorsal)
-grullo
-any form of dun that shows the characteristics clearly (non-fjord)
-silver bay (non-shetland/mini)
-silver black (non-shetland/mini)
-pangaré (non-bay dun fjord)
-gold champagne with flaxen mane
-amber champagne
-classic champagne
-pearl
-greys in early stages (iron, steel, just starting to show)
-greys with blood marks
-red roan
-blue roan
-tobiano
-tested frame positive
-rabicano
-splashed white
-max white sabino
-sabino roan
-dominant white
-Lplp in different amounts
-LpLp in different amounts
I am trying to get at least two different examples (though multiple would be great) for each color.

I know we were talking on the other site but I uploaded the pictures here in my gallery. All these were taken by me so they can be used. :)
