Does anyone know what's going on here?

Is this a genetic mutation or just a general deformity? Anyone have any idea? My mind has melted from seeing it.

Wow, It looks like she has no mid torso at all.  My first reaction was to wonder about a photoshop job. 

 

Without extensive testing you can't rule out anything.   Some birth defects are caused by early genetic changes. Hopefully she won't be bred.  I doubt she could safely carry and give birth.  I wonder if she is even comfortable?

She is crazy looking. It would be interesting to get x-rays taken to see what skeletal structures are missing.

I posted this on HGS to their drawfism "expert" and they said that it happens in dogs, and likely is a form of dwarfism. The fact that it is in a full sized horse is quite astonishing as dwarfism is rare in large breeds. http://www.horsegroomingsupplies.com/hor... post #22
