New Gray, Chestnut, Bay? Updated with new pictures

I recently purchased a little filly well more so I rescued her, the owner didn't have the time or land for her and I just couldn't see her being abandoned or worse. I took a few pictures but they aren't the best and now its raining outside but as soon as that clears up i'll take some better pictures.

She has some small patches of red, but the rest of her body is very very dark brown aside from the patches of white.

I have a picture of one parent but nothing else to go on, so what do ya'll think?

Last pic is one of her parents.

I'm going to guess brown, however, as you said those aren't the best pictures and her condition isn't optimal so her appearance could change.  I would guess the horse in the last picture would be brown as well or possibly a very faded black.

Thank you for the response, I just dont have much to go on and the darn weather down here in Texas is crazy today. The man I bought her from said one of her parents is grey and I do have papers that say the owner stated the horse as grey but the horse (i'm guessing the mother?) was never actually registered as such.

As soon as the sun starts shining i'll post some better pics thanks again :)

It's possible she could be graying.  Does she have any white hairs in her coat or at the end of her tail?

Not that I can see, she has two white socks and the white on her face that you can see other than that she's mostly really really dark brown with tiny hints of red.

Edit: Its getting prettier outside hopefully i'll have more pics up soon.

I'm leaning toward gray with the new pics.  It looks like she has gray googles and a lighter end to her tail both of which are indicative of gray.  Gray can also mess with the base color which would explain her odd tone.  I still link her base color is likely brown.

Thanks! I'm guessing brown or at least Chesnut as her base as well she's such a pretty little thing imo lol and i actually love grey horses so yay *biggrin*
