Are these Chubari spots on my mule (and what color is she anyway)?

I bought this 5yo mule at an auction in January, and have no history on her.  Her base color is unusual enough but today I discovered chubari/Tetrarch spots and I'm wondering if that's what she has behind her withers.  She has one on each side.  They are not quite white, more off-white, and the skin underneath feels perfectly normal, not scarred.  The hair is dense, almost like my tobiano paint's white spots.  We have a lot a of trust to build yet so there is no option of clipping to see skin color at this point.  Somebody was unfair to her in the past.  I love her regardless, but I'm curious to possibly put a name to her colors!  Her vet records say gray buckskin for lack of a better theory.  These photos are not the greatest but they do show her markings.  apparently I take a lot of pictures of her left side, but she has a matching spot on the right.  She is about 15.1hh and definitely a TB type.  Thank you!!!

Those look like they might be marks from an ill fitting saddle.  Mules can be hard to fit property.

She looks gray to me in those pictures.

She is quite leggy isn't she?  I'll bet she'll be a great ride when you get her confidence up.

Yea, I would say a bad saddle fit mark. She is definitely grey, but I doubt her base is buckskin. Just being a mule I would say there is a higher chance at bay or black dun going grey.
