She did have lovely stripes before she went all fluffy... now just a dorsal that kinda looks countershading... She was born a little lighter than her mum and then almost went black now lightening again..

Sooty bay IMO, the bay seems to be too dark having inherited cream or dun. Nice dark leggings! :love Was the sire tested for dun and cream?

Yep sire tested for creme (positive..so he's buckskin) but not dun.. Update the filly has been tested bay... so now just hoping she has stripes under all that fluff!

Foal looks 100% brown to me, not bay, absolutely not dun. Unless you tested through PetDNA specific for brown then AA or Aa does not differentiate between bay and brown from the other places.

Dad might well be a brown based dunskin with how dark he appears, or mom might be brown (can't tell with how little of her we can see in that photo).

Ok update on this filly! Sire was not tested creme so only bay dun..to be tested for zygosity soon.. Yes I said he was dunskin but no he's not. Mare of course bay...

So- sire pure highland dun NO creme.. dam bay.

Filly has been tested for creme and no ..no creme...
