Color/Pattern testing from Animal Genetics

Hi everyone.  I am still alive and kicking, although I have been very much out of the loop for the last year.  Our house burned in March 2012, and it has been a long period of rebuilding, but God has been very good to us.  Other things have had to take a back seat for a while.

Anyway, I was just filling out a form to have my yearling filly color tested from Animal Genetics. At the bottom of the choices, I notice a place to check for Color Panel and Pattern Panel, where they will test for all colors or all patterns for $95. Did everyone know this but me, or is this something brand new? It provides a bit of a discount if you are testing for 4 or more patterns and genetic conformation of those color/patterns you know don't exist.

Hey Songcatcher!  It's good to hear from you again.  My condolences about the fire I hope no one was injured...  We've moved and live a few miles south of Idabel now.  We're practically neighbors.

Where did you find the color and pattern panel test?  I can't seem to find it on the website.

CM, It was DNA Diagnostics that offered the snp test that took so long and had sketchy results.   Animal Genetics has a very good reputation, they are neck and neck with UC Davis.

When you download the form to send in with your sample, at the bottom of the list for colors to check it lists Color Panel and Pattern Panel.  $95 each for the whole list of colors, or the whole list of patterns.  Also under Equine Genetic Disorders.

We are all fine.  The fire was in the middle of the day while we were at work.  The house and contents was a total loss, but I am just awestruck at how God has spoken to me.  Really put my priorities in order.

This forum has a bit different format than when I was here last.  Going to take me a while to figure out how to get around.

Sorry to hear about the fire, but glad you are okay.

I couldn't remember what lab it was that was bad, just remembered that it was an "all in one" test. But now that I think about it, I do remember that AG had made their own all in one tests.

Not exactly related, but after clicking on your website I thought I recognized it. Apparently I found it awhile back when I was searching for any other minis named Angel Eyes.

Anyway, that's good that everyone's okay after the fire, and that God has spoken to you. That's really cool. :)
