Horses in Oman

Nice cream stallion, I never knew of Arabs with cream? Achal Teke? What do you think? Poor lad is grilled from the sun and has a fresh cut on left fore - being called an albino does not make life happier for him... And look: They even have Fjords in Oman!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2295170/Prince-Charles-takes-tr…

He doesn't really look like an Arab - probably an Akhal-Teke, especially since they've imported Fjord horses, too.

No Arab has Cream, simple as that. It does not look like an AT to me- it really is atypical if it is- I don't think it is Cream either- maybe Pearl or Champagne? Really plain, don't like it! Possibly PB - AK???(Because of the iridescence, although that is not necessarily due to AK)

The color: Yes. Conformation: No. He is missing the greyhound-look with upside down neck IMO. ymwhisle

Rabbit: What do the abbreviations mean?????????? :-t AT is clear to me though.

I found more pics - the lead/bit-combo looks like one I've seen quite similar on TB's. Could it be a TB???????

Not all Tekes have that conformation. From what I understand most of the "exported" ones have the crappy conformation.

Here are a few different ones:

I like that site because they have a ton of examples of the different strains/lines.

Thanks for sharing!
Love the black one, the sooty buckskin looks similar to a TB, the two others show typical Teke confo IMO.
You might be right that they export the culls probably first, like everywhere in horsebusiness. ymwhisle

Or they export the part breds!!!
PB-AK =PartBred-AkhalTeke...sorry!!

If it does not look like a duck, and it does not go "quack" the chances are it is not a duck......
P.S.: This system does not anymore take the quotes properly, that is new...hmmm.
It has never taken the quotes properly if they have a paragraph break in them. You just never noticed before

It was something I tried to fix, but fixing it broke more import things so I left it alone.

Oh! Must have been short quotes I had before then - it's the first time I consciously noticed this after two quotes didn't work out. Thought it must be a trick there... but tried several times and nada... ymwhisle good to know I can save the time trying in the future, don't worry about fixing it if it causes you any trouble :HB
