What colout is this 5 month old colt?

This is my Miniature Shetland pony foal, Pip, who is now 5 months. We are still unsure of his colour though, what with the grey legs, dark chestnut body and whitish mane. I was wondering if maybe you knew. It would really help :)

Any chance of a bigger picture? He could be silver bay, chestnut with flaxen, or perhaps even regular bay. If I had to choose it would be between silver bay and chestnut with flaxen. If we could see the eyelashes, ear tips and pasterns that could help. What color are his parents and what color were his eyelashes when he was born?

Miniture shetland = British Shetland I think, and British Shetlands do not carry the silver gene. I would say just bay.

He's now 13 months old but is actually getting paler by the day. His mane is a greyish colour with white strands and his face is made up of chestnut and white hair. The chestnutish colour is consistent all over although his body isn't as white. I was thinking maybe he was chestnut but his legs are very dark grey and his tail and mane are also grey. I haven't got any photos right now but I'll post some later. Bay seemed likely at first but he's so pale I'm not so sure

In the picture you have put up he is Bay, so the answers you got are correct. Are you sure of his parentage as it sounds to me as if he is Appy or Grey.....

I've found some recent photos. They don't show his whole body, mainly his head and shoulders and the bright light doesn't help, I'll get more soon! rabbitsfizz, that is kind of a problem! The vet said that his dad was the chestnut, but we did have a colt at the time, ungelded, who was around 6 months old and he was appaloosa. Now I am doubting what the vet said, as he said it just according to colour.

I will try to get more photos of his body.

I do believe he carries LP.  He has sclera, spotted skin around his eyes, and I bet he has striped hooves also.  Add that to the spotting on his bum and I def think he has LP.

Thanks, that's really helpful! 13 months I've been wondering! Do you think the white spots will spread or not?
