Horses that have been tested for Splashed White page

I'm trying. After all those test resuslts posted, it seems like people just stoped talking about splash. I mean, we should be seeing it all abuzz in all breeds, speically paint horses. But every few days I do a google search, and get nada. So trying to keep it documented, obvoulsy the researchers will be doing the best job, but we don't have access to all that jazz LOL. I also want people in my horse art community to understand these genes and colors. I have such a passion for it, I can't help but share it with everyone else.
Pardon the typos, cooking chili and watching the super bowl.

I think you are doing a good job. I have noticed several hits on my website as a result of your link, and others as well.
This test is a tool that will help us understand more. I tested some that I felt would test negative, because I wanted to confirm my thoughts. I tested half my herd and I feel sure I could accurately predict the results of the other half based on what I got back on the ones I did test. When I feel I can afford it, I'll test more. The only one that was really a surprise to me was Angel Eyes, with the one blue eye and testing negative for Splash.
I just sent off a second
I just sent off a second batch and will hopefully know the results at the end of this week. After speaking with the UCD researchers I am sending in one of my brown-eyed mares who phenotypicaly looks to be a tobiano splashed white. Like Freeland I am fine tuning who will be sent in as I get results back, but I know I will be testing a few horses that turn out to be negative and fall through the cracks.
SW1 exists in Gotland Ponies
SW1 exists in Gotland Ponies as well!
I submitted two different samples two weeks ago - one from a rather loud splash and one from a very typical splash, but less loud.
Both of them came back today as SW1/SW1!
I'll try to see if I get permission from the owners to post photos. If I do I'll make sure to post them here!
I've heard from several people that many Gunner-bred horses are coming back as Sw2/n. Trying to get actual pictures/results.
That is very interesting and contributes to my suspicions that the deafness is related to something different from SW1, as the Gunner line is well known for deafness.
I've really been wondering if
I've really been wondering if a horse can be Sw1/Sw2 (or Sw3) or even Sw2/Sw3.
This is just hearsay that I seen posted in a few places (about the Gunner line having Sw2)...but apparently she said UC Davis will confirm if you call. I just don't have a long distance plan. Anyone want to see if it's true? LOL

Very interesting
Very interesting information.
Years ago, when I was in college, taking a research class, the professor said something I will never forget. And I quote, "Research does not prove anything. It leads us to believe. It suggests. It indicates. It shows. BUT there is always the possibility of factors we are not aware of and we cannot say it proves."
I always admired that man.

I noticed Smokes Navajo is negative Sabino 1 and n/Sw1, his markings very similar to Annies. Annie also has a sibling that is HZ Sw that has a lot more white just like Smokes Navajos sibling.
Smokes Navajo looks like he has some other form of Sabino, would you agree?

I'm not sure who gave you the names of the two Gotlands, but the words certainly spreads fast!:P
Anyhow, since I was the one who payed for/sent in the samples, I asked the owner of the horses if I could submit a photo of their horses to share with the rest of you. I've got permission to do so from one of them and is waiting for the other one to reply, but here's one of them!
The mare tested SW1/SW1. She's certainly a stunner!
