could he be homozygous silver?

homozygous and heterozygous
homozygous and heterozygous silver will visually appear the same, so there is no 100% sure way to know just by looking at him, but with that number of foals all appearing to be silver there is a good chance he is homozygous, but the only way to know for sure is to test him :)

Thanks MP- look, I know I am old but I am not senile- a horse can have 1,000 foals- they can ALL be broken coloured. If the last foal he sires is solid he is not H/Z it is as simple as that! If you think of the potential sperm a horse has and the potential breedings he can do (we thought nothing of 50 mares per season with the Arabs, and that is nothing against a successful racehorse) then statistics are just there to make fools of us.
Statistics prove, btw, that New York is 10ft deep in horse doo doo, but I don't think that it is.......

We just had an election (like last week) here, and already the opposition is crying foul (Labour lost again, leader resigned and now there's a cat fight on to see who gets to be the new leader) in that the re-elected PM didn't have a "mandate" to institute charter schools because it wasn't part of the campaign scene...
Not sure how much governing could be done if gov'ts stuck only to what was in their campaigns... :BH
just got the results back ,

Well, it does not actually
Well, it does not actually work that way!!
A horse can sire 100 foals, and every single one of them will be Silver. Then, tragically, the horse dies.
Does that mean he is H/Z??
No, it means the owners were incredibly lucky as the next 5,000 (long lived horse!!- er, apart from the dying bit.... :rofl ) might have been Chestnut/Bay/Black/Whatever.
The only easy way to tell is to test him.
