I guess I've never shared my bunnies before, but most people are only interested in little Pumpkin, so I'll share her more  This is when she was a little baby back around easter, only 8 weeks old and about 3 lbs [IMG]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Sn0wLe0pard/Animals/dogs%20cats%…] This is when she was 4 months old with one of our new kittens who is also about 4 months old, guessing around 12 lbs [IMG]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Sn0wLe0pard/Animals/dogs%20cats%…] This was about 2 weeks ago Pumpkin is around 7 months old now, probably around 15 lbs [IMG]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Sn0wLe0pard/Animals/dogs%20cats%…] This is Blizzard, he is also about 7 months now, hes really sweet and always acting silly, hes white with red eyes and very light grey points, I was told he is half New Zealand and half Californian Rex [IMG]http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Sn0wLe0pard/Animals/dogs%20cats%…] I have 2 other bunnies, Thundera: a black female with a white nose who also has a little mane and recently recovered from a broken leg, and Fuzecious "Fuzzy" who is white with black eyeliner and he is the only one of the 4 that is fixed so far, Pumpkin and Blizzard are up next on the list. I think Thundera is around a year and a half old and Fuzzy is probably around a year.

Pumpkin is the size of a pumpkin! My friend has ...i think called a Lions Mane? Had two of them, each at a different time. Think she got them from a bad breeder as they both died soon after she got them.

My smallest two rabbits (the black one and black/white one are supposedly part lionhead. They are definitely part dwarf and have a small mane and their fur in general is more medium length. About your friend, they could have been too young or something toxic in the area they were kept, or just got sick, scared to death, etc.. It seems like there are tons of things that can be fatal to rabbits.
The more I learn about rabbits the more I think how insane my parents were to get me some as a child and how lucky I was that they didn't die; they are definitely not great child pets since they are so delicate!
Also if you look in the background of the first pic, you can see that Pumpkin at 8 weeks was already larger than my little Fuzzy who is full grown.

She is supposed to be a flemish giant, unregistered of course so I'm sure there's likely something else in there a few gens back.
