Chestnut or palomino

We thought this filly was chestnut when she was born, now I have second thoughts that she might be palomino.... Her dam is flaxen chestnut and sire is palomino... What do ya'll think..there are more photos in my gallery..

I will be happy with what ever the color turns out to be she just looks a little odd compared to the average ch estnut we have born.... Here are a few more pics from this morning

:-? Mom has that "liver" tone to her coat (assuming that is "mum" in the pixs) so I am gonna go out on a limb an agree with Amanda that this little lady is a liver, possibly with flaxen. Nice "chrome" too...

The mother never is the same color.. here is a pic of them both. The mother is a flaxen chestnut spring time she is bright red and at the end of summer she looks chocolate

The foal shed is often the darkest (for reasons we don't understand). So it is possible for them to shed off really dark then settle back to a more "normal" chestnut.

Looking forward to seeing what color she is all shed out. I bet she ends up being a dark chestnut but not quite liver.

Your foal may be a liver chestnut :love however....Don't be surprised if she ends up being a reg. chestnut or sorrel :BH . Whatever her color, she is a beauty and looks so sweet. :toast

I had high hopes for Destiny to be a liver like her momma, but no such luck. Here is her progression from the start of foal shed to age 3

She was 4 in that last pix...she is still that red now (a definite sorrel - obviously lighter mane & tail).
