Pali Pinto foal - Grey or not?

Hi guys, bub born tonight in Western Australia. Cremello sire, Grey (Chestnut) Pinto dam. How do i tell if he's grey, no "goggles" so to speak? Will get dry pics in the morning. Very pretty! I dont know enough about dilute greys to say. I don't think Jazz ever got goggles. She started greying around her sabino roan and her spots.

It doesn't look like he is gray. I have a gray mare and she seems to get lighter every time I see her lol. I think this little guy didn't get the gray from his dam. I have heard that you will "just know" when a horse is going to gray out. Most that I have seen pics of you could tell even when they were babies if they were or not. He is sooooooo cute though and I'd absolutely love to take him home with me! :-D Haha.
This is a palomino filly who went grey. Her color was very dark as a foal, but you can see the telltale "smokiness" of grey on her legs and face: http://forums.ablackhorse.com/index.php…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://forums.ablackhorse.com/index.php…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Mmmm Kordelas baby. Love. I got to meet him in his stall this fall :) Gorgeous farm and horses. They have all sorts of fun colors there!

Our bay foals often have much lighter eye lids - some even pink ones the first few days-weeks. We had a buckskin colt who had blue eyes and pink eye lids for 2 months. I don´t think the pink skin is an indicator - it´s just a way to confuse us and to give us stuff for discussions.
