Re: Howdy from Texas!
Lol, will do!!!! I'd love to know why she grayed out so quickly!! When I get home I'm going to scan her yearling photo from her registration papers too. . .she was gray by the time she was 1!!! Pretty sure her dam wasn't gray either. . .so I don't think it was cause she was homozygous!
Re: Howdy from Texas!
I don't know!! She is an appaloosa mare (heavily colored but grayed by the time she was 1). Her sire was grey and I'm not sure about her dam. She is 1/2 Arabian, Appaloosa. I'll go make a thread about her I guess! Where should I post it? In the what color is my horse area?

Re: Howdy from Texas!
Hi there from Texas also! :) My name is Amanda and I just recently graduated from Texas A&M also. Lol I love your horse! They are so neat and sweet looking. :-D I have 4 horses, with another on the way for 2011. I used to mainly barrel race and work cows with my horse until it got too costly lol. Now I just pleasure ride, breed, and train a little with my foal. My old barrel horse Duke (Chiefs Skippa Duke) is a dark sooty quarter horse buckskin coming up on 20 years old, my broodmare is Holly (Marys Miss Holidoc) is a mealy(?) bay quarter horse mare coming up on 9 years old, I have a 8 year old gray grade quarter horse mare called Bella, Holly's 2010 foal was a Palomino quarter horse colt named Elvis (Hollys Boondoc King). I also take care of my dad's black/white 14 year old grade Paint horse Chance. I will search for some pictures of them and put them up on here so you can see them. :) I found this website when I was in search of some equine color genetics. I have recently come across a lot of information and I have been just working at taking it all in!! Lol. I would love to meet new people on here and find new friends maybe. :-D
Oh! And by the way I have actually looked up that horse trainer "RM Performance Horses" before! How crazy, I was looking for a good trainer for my colt yearling for the future to break and train him the "right way". Lol. I had saved their name because they were well known for the "Mustang Makeover" and are what I consider affordable! You say you know them and they are really good?? Cool I am so excited, I just can't wait for Elvis to grow up and get into training and see what he can do!! Haha. Thanks for posting on here and letting us get to know you a little bit.
