My favourite Splash, possibly Splash only???
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
32.75" AMHA & AMHR 4-29-03 "Nort" is a beautiful blue eyed black Overo sired by Kickapoo Nickleodeon 29.5", a son of Hemlock Brooks Cock Robin. His dam is Reese's Velvet Hawk, a daughter of 4G's Little Kings Alfalfa Pleasure, "HAWK".
Nort is just as beautiful "au naturel" as he is posed, even if I do agree about the nefarious practises of that particular photographer.
Just go and take a look at the AMHA magazine when you have a minute (on line) and you will see one farm in particular that has the most airbrushed, falsified, downright weird looking animals on it!
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Oh they sold him to Oz too?!!?! I knew they sold a striking similar colt by him to Oz, but wasn't aware that they sold him as well.

Since this thread has turned to "Lotto", you might want to check out this topic http://www.miniaturehorsetalk.com/index…" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with pictures of a son of his. Very pretty Splash.
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Oh I see. I think the american one does. I know my old Paint mare was only registered pinto when I got her and had the right info as far as her pedigree on that certificate, I later registered her Paint when I tracked down the breeder and got him to sign the breeders certificate for her paint papers.
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
They might accept a stat dec from the breeder, combined with the service cert from stallion maybe. I'm not a member of the pinto society, although now I think of it I should be! But I just remember you have to prove breeding somehow, and usually breed papers is the easiest!
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Somthing should work for her I would think and then atleast she would have a record of her breeding to go with her and she maybe eventually contribute to a pinto breeding program. The pinto shows here are pretty popular here with all different types of horses and riding diciplines, all the way from mini's to stock horses to national show horses, any thing that comes in pinto. I am surprized your fancy Gypsy Vanners are not double registered pinto already
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Well that's what I was just thinking, with the Gypsies LOL!!
It's also why I know this filly as the breeder wanted to know if the Gypsy Cob breeders would like to breed some nice pintos from her. I think she'd have some gorgeous pinto ponies! Plus be a good show option for the pinto ring herself.
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Oh yeah cob is a type you can register also right? Welshs' make such good crosses on arabs as well and then the foal could be registered 1/2 arab & pinto. Even if it wasn't pinto then it still could be reg 1/2 arab. I imagine that would be the same with cob. Speaking of Arabs there is a lady that lives right up the street from me that has a black straight egyption stud that has the prettiet head I have ever seen, it looks like a classic painting.
Re: Another "Surprise" Splash
Register her in the UK then transfer her.....
And yes, she is registerable in the UK the WP&Cob Society are being dragged, kicking and screaming, into the 21st Century, about the only good thing to come out of the EU!!!
The US Welsh Society has different rules and different height requirements, so a registration in that would not count in Oz, but a registration in the "Mother Society" I think, would have to?
That's what I was thinking. I was sure I'd heard of some loudly marked welshies in the UK being registered now. Of course Australia would accept her if she was registered in the UK!! :-D
