AQHA Filly

This is my friends new AQHA filly....she got the white jackpot with this one considering neither parent has terrible much white. I think either parent could be the splash culprit..maybe both are. http://www.themanestreet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60920" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

my friend sent me a pic of her sire somewhere...and I know I have some pics of her dam when she was up here in OH with me working at the BSA camp and she was more dappled.

I think this little filly is just too adorable. Her full sister is a 4 year old now and totally grey (was born palomino)

Love the big white face :) I'd love to be a fly on the wall when her rego forms turn up hehehe.

she is AQHA reg. now...and Brittany posted some pics of her sire up. He's got a partial blue eye (more like a small chunk of blue in one eye)

Which can be a splash indicator... ;)

both the sire and the dam have skinny little star/stripe/snips that fall off to one side down near the snip area. You can't really see it on the momma now since she's so greyed out, but I have pictures of Bleu from when Brittany was one of my wranglers up at the BSA camp and she brought Bleu to Ohio with her and you can sorta see it in them as that was 5 or so years ago and a much darker grey shade...lol

I am the owner of this filly. I've been lurking here for a month or so, and came across this thread. Imagine my surprise at finding my own little girl! :o

Thank you all for the kind comments. "Mamie" was a shock to me, although I knew the cross was prone to lots of color. I must admit, when I found my mare giving birth that night, and saw all the white on the head, my heart sank---I just knew she was going to give me a lethal white. The mare's first foal was aborted late-term, but was a gray filly with four whites, a huge belly spot, and a blaze. The second foal, and first full-term baby was a palomino filly with a large blaze and three tall stockings. As a 4yo, she is now a beautiful dapple gray. "Mamie" is the most recent baby, and has the most white by far. Her bald face continues under her jaw and chin, and is very splotchy. Her stockings come very close to touching her belly in several spots, and she has quite a few belly spots. Both eyes are completely blue. She does not appear to be going gray.

I will post some recent photos of Mamie and photos of her sire and dam shortly. Thanks again for your comments!! :love
