Confuzzled...

OK, I'm getting better at this stuff...Really... But this one I can't grasp... http://www.grantcountyhorses.com/MJK-Dreamer.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Dreamer DD foal they say is: Update 5/27/09: DNA Results are in! UC Davis confirmed: Homozygous Cream, Homozygous Black, Homozygous Recessive Agouti. Plus, Heterozygous Dun! If he's homozygous black... What is homozygous recessive agouti? If it's homozygous... how is it recessive? I know I'm missing something... but what???

Homozygous just means has two of the same allele. Homozycous dominant agouti is AA and homozygous recessive agouti is aa. It is just that, in general, we only comment on the homozygous dominant form.
