I find it intresting that they knew to call it silver so far back in pedigree, but yet so many other basic colors get messed up on registration lol

Oh that's only because Talia couldn't figure out what color Bella was (she is registered dun, :laugh1 ) so she had her tested. When she found out she was silver she traced her lines as far back as she could and fixed allbreed along the way. She traced it to one particular mare "Silver Doll" who she managed to find a photo of and who apparently looks VERY clearly silver. Beyond that, she's not really sure.

Bella's dam is a silver buckskin who looks perfectly normal buckskin... except that she looks like an Arab. Drop dead gorgeous mare.
