filling in the blanks...

Re: filling in the blanks...
Yup you could get those two for just $50.
Shelterwood has kinda gotten themselves into some trouble. I think they've taken on more than they can handle. They are putting out results known to be inaccurate, seriously delaying results, doing complete retests on horses because "the test didn't come out right", etc. They also have a number of complaints against them through the BBB. Mainly, for me, is the inaccurate results. I will be retesting Lace for a few things elsewhere.
Oh really, maybe I need to retest too, hummm :bounce . Hey, ACC, it was UC Davis that did Lacy's dun test wasn't it? Too bad it wasn't them and they were wrong that she really is a red dun - :laugh1
Its still very possible that UC Davis IS wrong.
The dun test is not 100% accurate.
I also know of at least one case where UC Davis got a frame test wrong.

Wow...that actually surprises me WAY more, since that's a test for the actual mutation...did a horse get tested as N/N and then throw a LWO foal?
No. She was tested, tested negative, but visually quite obviously frame. Then was retested and tested positive (also by UC Davis). She also produced a loud frame filly.
Re: filling in the blanks...
Absolutely not. I have stopped recommending the use of that lab.
I really can't think of anything you'd need an answer to but frame and maybe gray. Everything else is visible.
