ATTENTION: Anyone that wants/needs to test...

I am told Shelterwood Labs will be running their tests in a week or next week (something like that) so if you need to test now is THE time if you can get it in ASAP. Remember this is a COMPLETE test for $40: http://www.dnadiagnostics.com/animal_genetics.html#horses1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They only use hair samples btw so ignore the part about the blood.

Awesome!! :bounce
This is pretty much an all in 1 test for 1 price?
I think thats what I'll do & test Jackie.
How do I order? Or do I need to wait? So this is a special they'll be running?

accphotography Fri, 06/12/2009 - 01:11

No they always do the all in one for $40. However they only run the tests once they have a big group to run so sometimes you might wait as long as 3 months for your results. If you want to do this test you need to get in in ASAP.

The instructions for testing are on the link.

Thanks for the heads up! I have quite a few to test... the price for all of them... I don't think I can do them all right now... Does anyone know how many they wait for before running the test? And glad to hear you can just send hair! :)

accphotography Fri, 06/12/2009 - 14:03

I don't know how many they wait for. It does seem like they are doing them much more frequently now than they used to, but that may just be because of the amount of business I keep sending their way. :laugh1

CheyAut Fri, 06/12/2009 - 22:29

Haha! Ok I think I'll send in three or four in for now, the others I'll wait on. I REALLY want to know my double dilute. I think she's a perlino, and want to know for sure :)

And I'm SO glad you posted that they take hair samples!!!! I was bummed when that wasn't on the thing as what you can send in, so very happy when you mentioned you CAN :)

I've sent this link to several others who have wanted to test their horses, but just haven't due to the cost for all tests.....several have been very pleased with finding out about this place and will be sending them some business as well. Hopefully I can get my SSH mare done later this summer....I'm really wanting to know a few things on her..lol

accphotography Sat, 06/13/2009 - 13:04

That's great. I'd love to get as much business as possible to these people. No, I don't know anyone there. It's just that the more business they have, the more frequently they will run tests, the easier people can test their horses.

I have posted this information on the LB forum, and there seems to be quite a bit of interest there. One question that was asked is "how many samples do they need for a batch?" Anyone know?
