Appy? Really?

So my best friend and business partner took me to introduce the newest horse she will be training and I will be standing. The stallion's name is Arete (like earring). And as I was looking at him, we came across one of his mares bred to him. She is supposedly registered Appy but I see nothing Appy about her. I see Sabino and maybe something else. Figured I'd post the pictures and let you guys take a gander as well. Anything you'd like to contribute? Thanks guys!

Looks like a horse going grey and he does not appear to have any Appy characteristics from what I can see. You are right I would suspect sabino for her markings. Have you checked the genital area as well for spotting just in case?

The sorrel right? A horse can be ApHC and be non-characteristic. They have a separate registry category for them.

Nice horses. The mare could be Appy, non-characteristic like admin said.

Yea, I've seen solid bred apps. But my questioning was because supposedly, she was registered as having appy characteristics.

Her papers are buried somewhere. I asked him to pull them up. It'd be interesting to see what they say.

Surely they didn't call her characteristic based on the stifle spot???

Yea, the stallion is an Andalusian. I was just inquiring about the mare. :)

I have a feeling it is either from that or the black Bend-Or type spots on her side.

Swinghorse, you can PM me the name, and I can look her up, if you don't want to put her registered name on the forum.
