Chestnut or Palomino?

Being as this is a place that takes in horses in need and rehomes them, it's doubtful this mare will be color tested... I'm leaning towards chestnut.

I would say chestnut over palomino. But I'm actually suspicious of silver bay. Reminds me of my friend's silver bay gelding. Legs on this one much lighter, but I still think I see some dark shading on them...

But, other than that, I don't see palomino. More like a haflinger color, which of course is chesnut :)

Actually I would think chestnut too, except for Sparrow is the same shade as Goldie and I know she's a palomino, and the late Hailey who was reg. as chestnut w/flaxen but who DNA revealed was ee/crCr.

The summer coat look for all the world dark palomino... but the winter coat tells the tale IMO. Definitely chestnut.

Yes, I am and I think that he might be Silver Bay.
I think it as likely as his being chestnut!!
He does not tick all the boxes, but he ticks enough, and his head shots just confirm it, IMO
