Forums will still be available to view but new posts are no longer allowed.

Changing the board theme

I found a new theme that looks really nice with the banner. The problem is it doesn't play nice with the chat box. So would you like to try the new theme without the chat box or stay the way things are? If we choose to try the new theme and later we decide we don't like it we can always go back to the way things are now.

is there any way to make it so that we can pick our own themes?
and after i'm done with midterms, I can make a different banner that looks prettier with silvers, that one was just really cheap and easy to make, lol!

i say go for it...and if people really want a chat..set up an IRC type chat....wyldryde does a great one that is free and can be put on a webpage in java or someone with mIRC or Pirch or whatnot could use it that way..

I could add more than one theme but it would be a big pain in the rear. I have to add the header (banner and links) to the pages manually and each theme is a bit different so I have to play "change page-load page" 'till I find what works. The only way to do it easily would be to call the html for the banner and links on top of the default headers for the theme but then we are back to the problem where you have to scroll way down to get to the forum....

Well I got to playing with the theme and ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would....I hadn't noticed before (probably because it was on my test board with only one post :laugh1) but it put all the avatars on the left side and other things were out of place as well.
