Bay or Bay Silver

She is a little cutie. I think Silver Bay too although far from an expert she doesnt look typical bay to me :flower

I'm not sure about the silver either, I always worked on the general rule with the mini silvers, that if you are wondering if a bay foal is silver it probably isn't. Like really obvious bays stay bays and the silvers looked a bit more chestnut looking at birth?

If it were anything but a mini, I would be more inclined towards bay. They upend everything. Fledge might have nailed it.

No, I think she may be just Bay, no Silver. I think she may have Roan, which is what is confusing the issue....

That could easily be the Roan effect, though, and the coat just has too much "depth" of colour to be a typical Silver.
On the other hand, if she has Silver and Roan, we could be looking at another potential inhibitor.......*and we will now pause while FF goes and bangs her head against the nearest hard surface and sobs a little* :booty

I agree the mane is far to silver for silver to not be present. I don't think there is any way roan would cause that when the roan isn't even visible on the body yet. Not all bay silvers have that whole body "misted" look when they're born though, and the mane is enough for me.
