Bay?

Re: Bay?
I would say Bay, no cream, no seal.
Like this chap....

Curious, though, why would you think Seal or Smoky Seal when he looks Bay?
He is a very nice foal, though, and if it actually matters, testing is straightforward enough.
Re: Bay?
I think he looks bay, a very cute darker bay!!! Does that make him have a bit of sooty? I'm lost on what brown is these days, but that doesn't look it to me?
He actually looks more like a bay going grey, yeh I know he can't be, but I just mean he has that look that the greys have with the extra black before they go grey. If that makes sense!
But anyway, yeh I reckon bay!

Because he looks like a bay ADULT, not a bay FOAL. There are huge differences between the foal you posted and the OP foal.
Seals are usually born looking like adult bays. I (and ACC) have photos that show this. There is also a difference in Smoky Seal and Buckskin.
Besides, if there was cream, it has to effect the red coat doesn't it?? So it wouldn't be red looking, like it does here??
It's not the body color of the ear hair color that says cream... it's the blue eyes.
Sometimes cream doesn't show on a brown base coat and especially not on a foal.
Agreed smokey seal.
Re: Bay?
OK, had another look but I still do not see anything that does not say Bay.
The eyes, yes, I can see they are pale and fading fast, I have had this quite often in foals (that is not to say I have not had an unidentified Brown foal, of course, that is possible)
The Bay colt I posted does not look the same colour, granted, but he had grey eyes at birth, like the foal posted (his eyes are not blue).
Also the posted foal has not evident nose muff and I thought that was supposed to be essential??
Re: Bay?
Hmmm. I don't know....it looks a bit creamy. Cutie pa-tootie too...
