Anyone get the Equus magazine?

I do for the grins, but this month's got me excited because on of the main topics was equine coat color genetics. It was... rather outdated and not entirely accurate. Such a bummer! Let's just say they only mention that pearl on a chestnut-based horse, they don't mention seal brown (At), they have "overo" as a pattern, and their sabino looks awfully dominant white. Actually, they don't mention dominant white either. Ugh.

I got mine in the mail today but haven't even looked at it yet. Looks like I'll be doing some reading tonight lol.

That is quite a bit outdated. I took a moment this week to check out some old horse genetics books at my college library, and I think my eyebrow was raised most of the time from the outdated concepts. One had the D locus as the cause for both black horses and liver chestnuts. O.o

Honestly, with the resources that are out there on the internet. Having something that outdated is no excuse for a journalist. For me, that's very sloppy copy and paste work on their part. Like they needed a quick filler.
