Another mustang! Flaxen sorrel?

Okay, I think my horse is sorrel/chestnut, and I think he is flaxen maned but it's not the standard color I expect from a flaxen mane. Darker and golder I guess. We are getting a lot of opinions that he is a palomino under all that so I thought I'd get opinions! His mane is just a lighter color of his body hair and his body hair is getting darker and darker. . . He is another BLM mustang that I adopted a week ago. He is noticeably darker now (a shade or two) which I attribute to having a stall and good food maybe? Some of my best friends are horse trainers. He's at their house in training for 3 months. I'm their photographer and they train for the mustang makeovers a lot so I finally decided I had to have my own 'stang.

Thanks!! I'm very excited!! I can't wait to get him cleaned up and I agree! I think his head is lovely!! He's a real thinker too! Going to be a really loyal horse I think. He really wants to be a part of a connection. Seeks it out
