I found this mare interesting at the BLM horse corrals when I was there last week (top photo) and then found out that a friend on facebook (Debra Moore McGuire) had photos of her from earlier this fall when she didn't have so much coat. She gave me permission to post the photos. Silver dapple with LP would be my guess. Any other possibilities??

Definitely Lp varnish. Base coat on an varnished appy can be next to impossible to determine so I'm not going to try :grin:

Lp was my first thought as well. The base coat obviously seems to be red, but you can't always be sure with Lp.
