1 day old foal (smokey black or dark bay?) =s

These are pictures of my beautiful stud a few hours after birth. His mom is a grey and sire is a cremello. I'm uncertain about the color of the foal. can anyone help identify what color will the foal be? he doesn't seem to have inherited the grey gene.

I appreciate the comment. I was judging that he didn't inherit the grey because he doesn't have a grey goggles nor grey ear tips. However, that could be my inner desire preferring to have a non grey goal. I tend to groom a lot and greeting horses are difficult to get a shine on with all the color change happening. I love my colt nonetheless. He has beautiful blue eyes  so I was leaning towards smokey black. I think his dam was a smokey black as a 2 year old when I got her. thanks again for the response. I'll add pictures as the foal grows.

He is definitely NOT smoky black.

I agree with CM. Hes either buckskin or smoky brown going gray. And its definitely on going gray IMO.

Thanks once again. Buckskin puts a smile on my face. Will he lose the blue eyes?? I've been around horses for years but I've never been quite peculiar about color till I met this mare that changes coat often.

I was hoping the light eyes would stay but he's a keeper eitherway. He was born about 36" at birth. Any idea on how tall he'll be? He seems to have a lot of legs compared to his dam.

they only keep blue eyes if they are double dilute cream, splash or lwo, but the type of blue is very different with dd cream being softer pale and white pattern blues being icey generally; and sorry, i dont know anything about height
